Weekends as a BYU student

On Saturday our stake went to the Brigham City temple open house. I love BYU so much and all the things it has to offer like this. It was amazing to walk through this beautiful temple and hang out with our ward :) then we rode home on that wonderful bus and we watches the BYU vs. Utah game. That game was crazy and all I can is BYU, you did your best and I will always be proud of you!
Then on Sunday Elder oaks came to speak to us. Just another example of why this school is so great! To have an apostle come to speak to you is amazing and he told us that all things will happen on the Lords time table, we just have to have faith in our plan.
So all in all, it was an amazing weekend :) I love college, and I love being here at BYU!

Hiking

We went hiking to Squaw Peak in Rock Canyon this fine Labor Day. Let me tell you, this is a HARD hike! By the time we were done we were exhausted! But it was so worth it....the view at the top was so amazing and the leaves on some of the trees are already starting to change color. It was a great experience and so much fun. I love being in Utah! It is the best :)

I am thankful

Sometimes church really can hit you deep. Sometimes someone can inspire you to be better. There are tons of people out there that have it worse than I do, so today I am thankful. I am thankful for the body I have been given that works well and is healthy. I am thankful for the opportunity to be here at BYU and get an amazing education and have so much fun. I am thankful for the roommates I have been given, they make me so happy. I am thankful for the amazing family I have and for my cousins who are my best friends. I am thankful to anyone who has stuck by side and been there for me. And I am just so thankful to be alive right now and to have everything I have. I am loving life and I am just so excited about this school year and about all the amazing things I am going to do:).

B.Y.U.

Well I made it! I am finally living in my dorm at BYU, and I start classes on Monday! I loved setting up my dorm room, and freshman orientation was a blast. My Y group was amazing, and I am so glad I got such a fun group.Our leaders were the best; the boys would even call them mom. We took our class picture, and had a pep rally. :) Its been a good couple of days and I am excited for school to start, but at the same time I don't want it to start at all. I am super excited for the football games, and college so far is looking pretty great!

SUMMER VACATION!

We went to lake Powell. It was a freaking great vacation!

We got a house boat, and it was fan-tas-tic!

Lake Powell is one of the prettiest places ever. I love to go here, and to just live on the lake for a couple of days. The sun sets are amazing, and we got to sleep out under the stars each night.

Wake boarding was an adventure. It is so hard! But I stood up, so for a first timer, I was pretty proud!

Otis took us on his hummer tour, and we hiked through the skinny caves.

It doesn't look that steep, but we felt like we were driving up that thing totally vertical! It was so fun!

In Utah I got to see Stephanie Nielson! It was very cool :)

My vacation was so fun this summer. Lake Powell is just amazing, and it one of my favorite places on this earth! Idaho is a blast every year. I love that place, and the people that live there, and I am so thankful for the family I have, because they are BFF's and they are there no matter what. Utah is always an adventure, and I absolutely love that place. Utah is my favorite, and so I am so excited to go up there for school in the fall! BYU here I come!
