Meet the Sisters

^^^Emma, Samantha, Kate, Me, Gracie, & Alee^^^

These girls are my favorite. I love living with all girls. Having 6 different wardrobes to choose from instead of one is killer.
I am NEVER bored seeing as one of these ladies is always around to keep me entertained.
College is lame sometimes, just because I have to be away from them for so long.
But we will each grow up and have our own life story and will be great :)
Sisters are kinda the greatest, and I love having 5 best friends that I can always rely on.

I Love America

Please be warned: this post has a lot of pictures and words, and is way awesome:
So this is the story of the greatest Memorial Day weekend that was ever lived by a person!
Well on Wednesday my big sister went into the MTC. And this was the one part of my week that was not fun, not one bit. Dropping off someone at the MTC is one of the strangest occurrences to go on. You just drive up, they get out of the car and walk away from you for 18 months. But you know what? I am so glad my sister is serving a mission and she is going to be amazing. Love you forever big sister!
Ok, then on Thursday night we went 80s dancing. These girls know how to move and groove, and I highly suggest everyone to get friends like mine so that you can dance like a fool, and have the best time ever!
So Stacey and I have established a nice little routine. Friday's are our errands day. We go and buy fabric for our next sewing project, and then we go get whatever we need for the week. We also go to Café Rio and share a pork salad, because everyone needs a little joy during errand runs. And I am proud to say that this Friday we went to Great Harvest to get some cinnamon bread, and we saw Stephanie Nielson, and that would be twice in one week for me, so I vow the next time I see her I am going to tell her how much I adore her!
That evening we went to the hot springs, and even though the word hot is in the title, I wasn't expecting them to be THAT hot. But seriously, they blew my mind, and thank you for producing these hot springs Utah, you are kinda rad.
But really though....^These girls!^
Also that night we made the best breakfast burritos for dinner and has some mean mocktails. Then we laughed till our abs were rock solid and the drinks had run low. But no worries, of course we drove up to squaw peak and looked down on those city light and told scary stories.
Then we had our sleepover with Whit, and we went on the trail run the next morning. Let's just say Stacey and I got very lost and I will never go trail running again! I mean when you have to ask random people to use their phone to get on facebook so find a number to get whits number, you just have to vow to never trail run again.
But then we went to Lake Mona and all was well. All of our tans are coming along quite lovely, thank you.
We went off the high rope swing, cause we are cool college kids, and we do neat things like that.
And behold I give you the worlds best snow cone. Those lame homemade ones will never cut it for me again. I don't know how they make these, but I am sure it is with a ton of love, cause I don't know how else to make anything so divine. Thank goodness this is right by campus so I can go get fat off these for the rest of forever. Oh and lets not forget how we went into the Canyon to watch a movie at night, and we bailed hardcore when a man with a hatchet started walking around us. Lesson learned: never ever watch movies in the canyon at night!
On Sunday I went fishing for the first time. The view was amazing, but the fishing bored me to death. So Whit and I bailed, and just bonded over how WE LIVE THE EXACT SAME LIFE. Like I am not even kidding.....sometimes it gets weird. But I love it. My friends rock. Hardcore.
Monday. Ok guys, we went shooting the tube. Possibly one the greatest things ever invented.
1. You just block the water
2. You sit on sleds
3. You let the water rush in the tube and you fly down
4. You cry a little cause you never knew something so simple could bring one such joy
We digged the graffiti by the tube hardcore.
But don't worry, we also attended a BBQ in honor of this grand Memorial Day.
And that my friends was how the greatest weekend in the history of time went down.
Like I am still baffled at how much fun was able to occur in such a small space in time.
And Utah, oh Utah! You have stolen my heart again with your warm days and endless green grass. I had my doubts in winter, but now I remember why I love this place so much.
Well cheers! To weekends, or food. Which ever you prefer.

***And thank you to all of the service men and women out there. I seriously appreciate all that you do for our country. Especially my dad. You are my hero.***

A Weekend In Texas

This weekend I went home to Texas. And before that I went to a Marina and the Diamonds concert with Rach, I went to the Mt. Timpanogas temple with some of my favorites from the 53rd ward, and then lets not forget how Stacey and I tried to make this rice and we failed horribly so we ended up going to Chick-fil-a. And oh my it was funny night. Also we had a sleepover with Whitney. Love that child :)
Then what went down in Texas:
1. I ate at bagel shop, Whataburger, and Taco Cabana and now my heart is full.
2. I got to see my grandparents and my Aunt Carrie and Kristen.
3. We went to Gracie's soccer game, and it's kinda scary how good she is.
4. I WENT SWIMMING AND IT FELT SO GOOD!
5. Texas Roadhouse
6.Sam's farewell on Sunday.
And I missed you Texas, I really did. It was good to go back for a weekend. And Sam goes into the MTC tomorrow!

We party.....hard

This past week:
On Wednesday we went to Aaron's mission call opening (San Pablo Philippines!), we went to In-n-out to celebrate, and then we went hot tubing.
^^And please appreciate Erik's frown as much as I do.^^
On Thursday we went to the waffle truck, Stacey and I got soccer lessons from Aaron, and we went to see the Great Gatsby (which was an incredible movie by the way.)
On Friday we went to get Stacey's passport, then we went fabric shopping and got some much needed cafe rio and horchata! Then we had our bonfire, with smores and stories and sparklers.
On Saturday I went to the temple, then I worked out, and then I went to the zoo with these ladies. And yes in case you were worried, I do still hate the zoo, even though I went!
On Sunday I got to see my girls at Jake's farewell! He did an amazing job and I loved being able to spend time with my favorite people! Also I went to Becca's farewell. She made me cry. Her talk was amazing and she is going to kill it in North Carolina! Then I had Sunday dinner/tanning time with Brooklyn, Stacey, and Katie. And then we ended our night hanging out with the boys and just laying on blankets outside, because might I say that the weather lately has been killer!
So yea, you could say it was a really good week.
Lets do it again!

Tuesdays

I had goldfish for breakfast, lunch, AND dinner yesterday.
I made those cookies, you know the ones with white chips and cranberries.
We had a just dance party.
Stacey and I made encheritos for dinner, and they were so good.
My class got canceled so I just ran errands all day by myself, and it made me feel very grown up.
And that was Tuesday for ya.

Springy time

Well my first week of spring classes is done with. I think I am going to love sewing, and we will have to see about public speaking....
And Stacey and I have been bored out of our minds, don't let me fool you from this long list of things I did this past week:
1.Went to a movie with Ashley, Emily, Rachel, Travis, and Jake. We saw the Croods, and ummm yea this movie was great!
2. I had a sleepover with Rachel and we went to see Safe Haven. Josh Duhamel: you are the finest!
3. Stacey got her mission call! She is going to the Philippines, and I could not be more excited for her!
4. We celebrated Katie's birthday by having gravy and biscuits, tanning, getting cupcakes, going out to dinner, watching a movie, and oh my it was a great day!
5. Stacey, Aaron, and I drove around one night with nothing to do, so we ended up going on campus, laying and looking at the stars, and just talking. We are prime memory makers!
Oh and we also went to Costco and ate every sample possible, and it was so good!
And I am sure I did some other things that I can't remember now, but all in all it was a good week, and lets pray that this week will give us stuff to do so we will stop being so dang bored all the time!

^^^The Crew^^^

^^Stacey is probably going to be the cutest missionary out there!^^

And today at church it was really hard for me. I missed everyone so much, and so I texted Bishop S. and he made everything a whole lot better: "I understand. First time in my home ward since Dec and it was strange. I, too, feel the pull. It's tough. Remember that most people you see in your BYU ward are not as well put together as you. Many are struggling or broken even if they don't look like it. You'll feel better as you dig in and serve them, like you did in our ward. You have many lives to bless. They are all around you. I love you. You are a great one. You'll marry well and have a beautiful family."
I would be so lost without this man. I know I was meant to be in his ward for a reason. And even though this transition into a new ward is really hard for me, I now have the right perspective of why I am here. Thank you so much bishop. You really are my life saver.
