And It Was A Grand Thanksgiving At That

Samantha and I went over to Aunt Erica/ Uncle Gordon/Grandma/Grandpas house for Thanksgiving. We headed over on Wednesday and they put us to work as pie bakers.
On Wednesday evening we went to take the Limbs Christmas photos, and so we decided to take some too.
Benches always make for precious pictures.
Then we went home and played an intense game of hand and foot. Me and Jess didn't do to hot, but it's ok, I'm over it ;)
THANKSGIVING=best holiday ever because you just get to eat alllllll day long!
We party hard. And then at night we watch old black and white holiday movies :)
(It's a Wonderful Life & Holiday Inn)
Now just tell me these are not the cutest grandparents in the whole entire world!
On Friday we just went shopping....duh. And then on Saturday we made cinnamon roll. I freaking love cinnamon rolls and I love them so much that I wanted to share the love, so I gave them to my home teachers and my visiting teachers cause they are the best ever.
And that is how my Thanksgiving break went. I am so thankful for everything i have been blessed with in my life. I am so extremely happy up here at BYU, and I wouldn't change anything about my life. I am such a blessed girl who is so thankful for the amazing life I have been given.
And I am so excited because hiddles and father are coming up on Thursday! I am soooooo excited to see my parents!

Almost Break

I have recently acquired an obsession for floral print clothes. I absolutely LOVE it.
I always make a wish at 11:11. And some times it comes true :)
I hate sleeping by myself, and since some of the roomies left early for Thanksgiving break, Rachel, SkyeLyn, and I slept in the living room together. It is amazing how much we miss each other. I don't even want to think about christmas break will go down...
Today I turned in my 8 page essay for writing. I think I might have cried of joy! Then I went with Rach to her dentist appointment because I love teeth and because I didn't want to be at home all alone. Then we had classy Kyle come over and put up our christmas lights for us. Then SkyeLyn and I went to the temple with Brooke, Laurie, andKyle. Then we went over to 1102 so hang out because we were all so lonely. Then classy Kyle brought us cookies! Then we went to 1102 boys and watched Hot Rod. And that is how today went. Thanksgiving break, I am sooooo ready for you!

And She Will Be Loved

Look how cute my roommates are! They are seriously the best in the whole world! I couldn't ask for better people to spend my college life with. And SkyeLyn thanks for serenading me.....I love guitars!
Got a letter from this kid, and it totally made my day. She is so great!
We waited in the freezing rain for a free hot dog....I feel like such a college kid. The things we do for free food....
Friday night started off with a bang as we went to our wards talent show. Our ward is amazingly talented, and our bishop is probably the greatest bishop in the history of time!
After that shin dig, we went over to 1102 for our monthly sleep over. We started it off by doing the fortune telling game to Big-D, Devin, and Jeremy. Then Hyrum, Daniel, Chris, and Sarah came over and we just partied our lives away. We seriously bonded so hard that night. We just talked/played games/listened to music/did whatevs/and got some good laughs. All in all it was a solid night. Then after curfew kicked the boys out, us girls were feeling real hungry so we decided a midnight In-N-Out run was a must. We all piled into Rachel's hot pink jeep and went and ate our hearts out. On the way we all sang at the top of our lungs to Maroon 5. Gosh I love these girls. They seriously make life so much fun. It is crazy. It is just nights like these that make me oh so happy. I seriously will look back on my college life and think of crazy fun nights like this. It's not even that we did anything super spectacular. It's just that we had an amazing time, and for once in my life I felt so full. I felt so full of happiness and love for all these fine humans I am meeting up here. You guys make my heart smile because you are mine. We are having killer college lives together, and I totally think you rock.
So cheers to the weekend. And thank goodness we only have two more days of school until Thanksgiving!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Mom!
You are the best person I know. You seriously never have anything mean to say about anyone. This is one lesson I am trying my very best to learn from you.
You are just the craftiest, cutest person ever.
You aways are just so kind and willing to help anyone on need.
When you put us all girls together we just act crazy and laugh alllll the time!
You are pretty much exactly what I aspire to be like when I grow up.
Thank you for being such a good example.
I love you! I hope your birthday is wonderful :)

These Are Days To Never Be Forgotten

Oh ya know, on Thursday me and Rachie just had a little date night with modern family, pineapple soda, and some guac!
It has been snowing here like a beast! It is absolutely beautiful outside, and the view outside our window is killer! So on Friday me and Sam were feeling a little crazy and so we went to zupas. Soup and sandwiches....sooooo good! Then we went Christmas shopping but mostly bought stuff for ourselves :)
After the basketball game on Friday some boys offered to make us pancakes....so we said HECK YES!! And it was Rachel's first time partaking of chocolate chip pancakes. You can say it went well!
We were sitting in the hall and good old Hyrum walked by with this huge platter of cheese! So we just sat there and ate some cheese. Then we sat and talked to the 1102 girls. Then went into their apartment and hung with their fhe boys. Then we journeyed into the hallway again for unknown reasons and we listened to Aubrey's recording of her sleep talking. That girl is HIL-AR-IOUS!
Thanks Phillip for opening every drawer/cupboard possible.
Last home game! We killed Idaho, we froze, and we witnessed an engagement.

Well i know I have said this 50 billion times already, and I will probably say it a billion more times, but my ward is amazing. Today in ward council Bishop was talking about how great this ward is. We all are so close and we have become so close in such a short amount of time. He talked about how "these are days to never be forgotten." We are all in the places we are for a reason. We are helping change lives, and our lives are being changed. This is an amazing time to be alive and to be where we all are in life. Bishop was talking about how we all have amazing futures and he said "Sara I can see you in the future raising your family in righteousness." Thank you Bishop for being such an acceptable man and for making my day :) Today was one of those days where you just realize that life is hard, people screw up, and bad things happen, but you can choose to have a good outlook on life and totally enjoy it. Choosing to be happy and loving my life is what makes it so great. I love BYU and I love my ward. These are my best friends and these are definitely days to never be forgotten.

Why must this week be so great!?

This week has been absolutely great. It has been so great because:
  •  It has been soooo warm.....I am seriously just loving it! Walking around outside in a short sleeve shirt with all the leaves on the ground makes my heart smile.
  • I took my nutrition test today and I took my Book of Mormon test the other day and I got A's on both of them! thank goodness all that studying payed off.
  • Even though Romney lost the election our ward had an amazing little election party, and it was a blast. Those kids are just awesome and make life so fun.
  • Rachel and SkyeLyn have been going over to 1102 to look at "the wall" for their American Heritage test. I have been going over there to not be bored. All I can say is I love you Aubrey Beck. You make me laugh so hard :) Thanks for making my nights so hilarious.
  • We are doing the Elbow experiment. We will see if it works or not ;)
  • I drank hot chocolate last night.
  • My hometeachers have proved that they are best kids out there! They brought me comfort food since Romney lost the election. These two boys are absolutely the greatest. How did I get so lucky to have the coolest/nicest/funnest hometeachers?
  • We went and gave jelly beans to Sam to show him how much we love him!
  • I have not had that much homework! It has been terrific.
  • The new One Direction CD comes out soon, and you can preview the the whole thing on itunes!
  • It is almost THANKSGIVING BREAK!!!!
It's always the little things that mean the most. <3

Crazy Sundays

On Saturday I was sitting in our dorm hallway reading the biography of Thomas S. Monson for my living prophets class. As I was sitting there I got the strongest feeling about something I had been praying about. I've never been one to get really powerful answers about big things in life. I always knew I was going to BYU, I always just knew things. So getting this answer was pretty crazy. Then at relief society today cute Stacy gave our lesson on gratitude. Oh.My.Goodness. This lesson hit me so hard. It all started when we were watching Stephanie Nielsons Mormon massage about her plane crash. I have seen this video before, but for some reason it made me cry so much! I was just so touched for some reason. And then after that they opened up the floor for testimonies. Every girls that got up there touched my heart and I just had tears running down my face the whole time. I cannot thank these amazing girls enough for just making my feel so close to God. I wouldn't want to be in any other ward. They inspire me to be better and they set the best examples I could ask for. I will never forget how bishop got up at the end of the lesson and told us that the feelings we felt today were sacred and we need to look back on this day and never forget it. Even after we got out of relief society I could not stop crying. It was definitely a mixture of the spirit I had felt and the feelings I got on Saturday. I am the kind of person that over thinks a lot of things, so I had been struggling with the impressions I had felt on Saturday. After this Sunday I can honestly say that I am sure that the feelings I felt were real, and I cannot wait to see what happens with it. My amazing home teachers saw me crying in the hall before Sunday school and so after church they brought over some cookies for me. They told me to keep smiling and how they hoped I was doing well. They said if I EVER need anything to never hesitate to call them. They said if I ever need a blessing to go to Jeremy and he would be more than happy to give me one. Gosh, they totally made my day, and almost made me start crying again! They are seriously so great and they totally saw I was struggling and made my day so much better. They are amazing examples to me, and I love those boys so much! So all in all it has been a crazy couple of days for me and my emotions. I have felt things that I have never experienced before. I can easily say I know that I belong to the only true church. It blesses me in ways unimaginable. I am so happy with the way things are going and I am so happy be here at BYU.

Brooke said this quote in her testimony, and I absolutely loved it :
“Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.” -C.S. Lewis

Here is the Stephanie Nielson video. So inspiring.
Jeremy and Devin, you boys are my heroes!

Halloween Week

WE LOVE WRITING CLASS SO MUCH!!!! -said no one ever! Gosh I cannot wait for this class to be over and done with. It will seriously be a cause for celebration!
For Halloween we went to Rachel's house in Sandy and we helped run their spook house. These people are dedicated fans of Halloween. They had this crazy spook house set up in their garage/backyard. Props to them for being so cool! Thanks for letting us help, and thanks for feeding us! (Navajo tacos and donuts....heaven)
The whole crew! We make a great spook ally bunch, don't you think?
Austin came over to give us music. Thank you Austin Mcstraw for giving us the Aldean and the Hunter Hays CD, we can now live! And thanks for just giving us random songs, you are seriously the best! We definitely needed some other music because Taylor Swifts new CD was ruling our lives!
I saw this quote and it made me happy. This has been a great week filled with Halloween fun, scaring our FHE boys (we went and banged on their window when they were watching a scary movie...they flipped out! It was prime), going to Jeremy and Hyrums last football game and then going with Jeremy to Rachel's basketball game (thank you Jeremy for being so hilarious and making us laugh alllll the time), hanging out with Brook, Aubrey, and Bailey (you girls rock, and fill my void when I am lonely), studying, grocery shopping, and just life. It's been good times. And let us never forget that Rachel Easter is a Beast-er :)
